The Overscaig House Hotel sits at the heart of Sutherland in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and our guests enjoy the peace and tranquillity of its wonderful location overlooking Loch Shin.

We have 8 modern en-suite bedrooms. There are 2 loch-view double rooms, 1 loch-view twin rooms, 3 single and 2 "family" rooms - each contains 1 double and 2 singles. Each room has its own coffee/tea making facilities as well as a TV (most have a DVD player).

Although most our rooms have a loch view, we don't imagine you'll spend long sitting in your room admiring the view!

You can enjoy locally sourced cuisine in the bar or our loch view dining room, read a book in our comfortable lounge or simply have a drink in the bar. Bar meals are served from 5pm with the last table seated by 8pm.

The Overscaig is an ideal base to explore all the attractions of the Northern Highlands - Caithness, Sutherland and Ross-shire. It is a wonderful area, rich in wildlife, birds, history and archaeology as well as being superb for outdoor pursuits such as walking, climbing and fishing.

Please note that we are closed to non-residents during the day and so we open our doors for guest check-in from 4.30pm
