Birchlea is a quality Norwegian log cabin overlooking a pretty lochan, set within a small exclusive landscaped site. In Kippford, a pretty seaside village on the Colvend Coast, it is only a short walk to the village's seafront. Kippford has many gentle walks, including over National Trust lands to neighbouring village, Rockcliffe, or along a coastal path to cockle shell beaches - with many opportunities for lovely views
Birchlea supplies comfortable accommodation for 6 and is well-equipped for self-catering, or there are 2 good pubs with outside seating only 10-15 minutes stroll down the hill. Cosy and warm in winter, perfectly designed for summer living with French windows opening on 2 sides to the verandas, Birchlea comprises:

Magnet Cottage sits in the village of Kippford amidst the beautiful Galloway countryside overlooking the Solway Coast. The cottage looks directly on to the Urr estuary on the Solway Firth. Kippford hosts miles of forest and cliffside walks with fantastic views over Rough Island Bird Reserve, fishing, sailing, golf and mountain biking are great pastimes here. The cottage is situated 80 paces from the local watering hole "The Anchor".
The cottage sleeps 6. It is fully refurbished - lounge open plan kitchen dining area wood burning stove, downstairs double bedroom and bathroom, upstairs 2 twin rooms.
