Located midway between Fort William (Ben Nevis's home town) and Oban, the Old Byre cottage is the perfect self-catering base from which to explore some of the most spectacular scenery in the British Isles. Argyllshire has been at the centre of many events in Scotland's rich - if dark - history; there can be few better places from which to enjoy its echoes.
The cottage comprises a single floor with plenty of natural light and generous communal spaces making it ideal for less mobile guests.
Sleeping three guests in comfort, there is one double and one single bedroom. Aside from a CD player, television and video, the sitting room has a double sofa bed making a maximum of five possible. The bathroom offers a power shower and lots of hot water thanks to the oil-fired central heating.
A dining area adjoins the kitchen which is equipped with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, a dishwasher, gas cooker and a microwave. All bed linen, towels, electricity and oil are provided inclusive and pets are welcome!
Its seemingly remote location, thick walls and cosy furnishings ensure complete relaxation - many guests comment that they've enjoyed their "best night's sleep ever".
Landscaped gardens allow visitors to sit out and enjoy the sights and sounds throughout the day surrounded by Scots pines and the endless natural theatre of birds and other wildlife.
Whether you visit Scotland for sightseeing, hillwalking, birdwatching or for any of the countless adventures available here, the Old Byre is the ideal short rental property at any time of year. All this just 2 hours from Glasgow International airport, 2.5 hours from either Edinburgh or Inverness airports and about 45 minutes from either Oban or Fort William railway stations.
These prices are inclusive of bed linen, towels, electricity and heating. | contact: | tel: 01631 740327 email: katrina@theoldbyre.com
