The situation of this Bed & Breakfast is one of tranquillity - whilst only a few minutes from the busy town of St Andrews and its famous golf courses.
Being a converted barn one can imagine the unusual features, many of which have been retained. Combed Ceilings, arched windows, original stone walls, interesting 'nooks and crannies' all combined with new polished wooden and stone floors, restored cast iron fireplaces along with quality fixtures and fittings.
Cosy rooms are finished to the highest standard. Each of the rooms is individually decorated with co-ordinating themes. Most rooms have fireplaces, antique pine or brass beds and carefully picked pieces of art. Each of the four bedrooms has an ensuite shower room.
As you would expect a hearty Scottish breakfast is offered along with a few alternatives including a vegetarian option, on request. Prepared in our stylish country kitchen and served in our cosy dining room you can start the day looking through the original arched window to admire the view over the garden stream. Alternatively take advantage of the East Neuk climate (which has a better record of sunshine than the rest of Scotland) and dine al fresco in the garden.
The garden has been thoughtfully designed with waterfalls, ponds, patios, walkways, raised flower beds and even its own 'Swilken Bridge' over the small stream. There are areas for dining, walking, sun bathing, or simply enjoying the stunning views.
Other Facilities: Lots of free parking space available.

Luxury two bedroomed self catering cottage available for rent in quiet location but yet near St Andrews and East Neuk Villages.
The cottage has lovely arched patio windows leading to a paved patio and gardens with seating area where you can admire the fabulous views.
Back inside this cosy cottage the lounge has a fireplace, leather suite, dining table & chairs plus TV and video and leads to a raised kitchen area. The fully fitted oak kitchen has dishwasher, hob, oven and microwave.
One of the bedrooms is a double room with brass bedstead, fireplace and carved French furniture. The second bedroom has two sets of full size adult bunk beds. There is also a bathroom with curved shower.
Childen are welcome but must be supervised at all times.

Fairnie House was built c.1750. It is a listed town house centrally situated in the old part of town. We are a small, friendly, family run B&B. All of our guest rooms are on the ground floor. Two rooms are ensuite and one has a private shower-room. Each room has central heating, hospitality tray and TV.

Millhouse is a recently converted farm steading - the octagonal shaped kitchen used to be the horse mill - situated on the west side of St Andrews, with stunning views towards the town and the sea beyond. We are two and a half miles from the town centre, with its golf courses, award winning beaches, and many attractions both ancient and modern.
We have two bright and spacious guest rooms - one twin room with extra long single beds, and one double room. Both are en-suite; both have colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and alarm clock. The en-suites have non-slip floors, powerful showers, heated towels, and we provide you with locally made toiletries.
Millhouse breakfast is freshly cooked to order, and wherever possible we use free range, local produce. We serve traditional cooked Scottish breakfast, and a selection of cereals, fruit and yogurts. Tea, coffee and toast are served throughout breakfast. We also cater for vegetarian diets.
We have a TV lounge, and guests are welcome to borrow books, games, jigsaws and maps from the bookshelves. A laundry service is available, we also have an iron and ironing board for guests' use. We are strictly a no smoking establishment. Guests are welcome to enjoy a seat in the garden – Scottish weather permitting!

Cambo Estate has been home to the Erskine family since 1688. The impressive Victorian mansion house, built in 1881, and an important historical listed building, lies at the heart of a 1200 acre estate in one of the most unspoiled areas of Scotland.
The family guest rooms are on the first floor in the main part of the house off the magnificent staircase.
The Yellow Room has a fine four poster bed and has en-suite facilities. It looks west over the handsome parkland with its carpet of daffodils and blossom in spring.
The Blue Room with private shower-room and magnificent furnishings overlooks the tennis lawn and the woods towards the sea. It catches the morning sun as it faces east.

Ivybank is in an ideal position, in Scotland's Home of Golf, within the central St Andrews Conservation Area. The house stands on a footpath, the Lade Braes, which is a peaceful but very convenient location, three minutes walk to South Street. The path runs westwards for over a mile, past a large play park, along a wooded burn.
The house sleeps five comfortably, in a double, a twin and a single bedroom.
The bathroom is off a landing, half way up the stairs and has an electric shower over the bath. Downstairs, there is a south facing living room with bay window, dining room, laundry cupboard and kitchen. The living room has two sofas, an easy chair, coffee table and television with DVD player.
The dining room has a table, five chairs, sofa bed, easy chair, hostess trolley and television with Freeview. Good china and crystal glasses are available for special occasions. Breakfast is served in the large dining room at individual tables. The extensive breakfast menu includes cereals, fresh seasonal fruits, a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast or you may wish to try one of of fish dishes. Vegetarian and other special diets can be catered for. A welcome log fire can be enjoyed in the resident's lounge in the colder weather. Drying facilities and golf club storage are provided.
Pinewood Country House is set in Scotland's premier golfing area with St Andrews just 10 minutes drive away. The local golf courses at St Michaels, Scotscraig and Drumoig all welcome visitors and the Scottish National Golf Centre at Drumoig offers a driving range and indoor practice area. The Kingdom of Fife boasts a total of 43 golf courses.
Pinewood is ideally located for touring the Kingdom of Fife or across the River Tay to Dundee. In addition, Edinburgh, Perth and Stirling can be easily visited on a day trip. Leuchars railway station is only two minutes away and all mainline trains from London and Edinburgh stop there. Arrangements can be made to collect guests from the station. Buses for St Andrews and Dundee stop at the end of the drive.
Close by is Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy Beach with memorable walks along five miles of unspoilt sands and numerous forest trails. Arrangements can be made for cycle hire to explore the pine forest trail and the 300 miles of the Kingdom of Fife Cycle Route. There is ample car parking for guests with no restrictions, vouchers or traffic wardens.
