The conservation village of Straiton in South Ayrshire is the ideal place to spend some time exploring the beautiful area of south west Scotland.
Located in the centre of the village, 18 Main Street is a comfortable, cosy, traditional cottage available for daily, weekend, midweek and weekly rent and is the ideal place to stay.
The dining/sittingroom has a large open fire, TV, basic Sky and Freeview, DVD player, a CD player, lots of games and books. This leads through to the well-equipped kitchen which has a gas cooker with convenient eye-level grill, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer. The ground floor shower room has a rectangular shower and towels are provided.
The downstairs bedroom is decorated in the Mackintosh style with original pine floorboards. Upstairs is a smaller bedroom with a separate dressing room and has views to the surrounding countryside. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have quality bed linen.
There is lots do without using the car. Within a short stroll there is the Black Bull serving good food, a Coffee Shop and Straiton Stores for provisions. There are several signposted walks starting from the village. Fishing and cycling are on the doorstep too.
A little further afield are excellent golf courses, horse riding establishments, Culzean Castle, Dumfries House, Heads of Ayr Farm Park, Ayr Racecourse, Burns Heritage Park and much more. Parking is available and your well-behaved pet is welcome too.
Includes electricity, gas and logs. The cottage is available for nightly, part week and full weeks.For those wishing to rent the property for a night or two only breakfast ingredients can be left in the fridge.

The Estate is sited on the edge of The Galloway Forest Park that offers many outdoor activities including hillwalking, mountain biking and fishing.

Set within the beautiful village of Straiton we offer Bed and Breakfast facilities and a warm welcome.
We have two well presented rooms, one with en-suite shower and bathroom, the other with exclusive use of a bathroom with a double spa bath and shower. Both rooms have television and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests also have exclusive use of a lounge with Sky TV and can have internet access (wifi) if requested.
Breakfasts are made using locally available produce where possible and are tailored to suit your needs.
Within the village of Straiton we have The Black Bull Hotel, where you can have a fantastic meal and a warm welcome. We also have the privilege of having The Buck Tearoom, where you can sample the famous homemade baking. The local shop, Staiton Store, is a community cooperative and stocks a wide range of locally produced food.
