The Old Tearoom is situated in the Borders village of Chesters, on the A6088, five miles north of the English-Scottish Border at Carter Bar. This is farming and forestry country where impressive views abound. It’s also prime cycling, mountain biking and walking country – straight from the door.

The Old Tearoom is, well, it's the old tearoom. If you go back a good few years, it was indeed the village cafe, adjacent to the smithy and post office. Now it’s a comfortable cottage overlooking open farmland and forestry.

The Old Tearoom sleeps four people and we are also happy to accept up to two dogs, by arrangement, and provided they mind their manners!

There's a secure back garden with furniture so you can soak up some sun or cool down after a long walk. Alternatively, just curl up in front of the fire with guide books and maps, to plan your next day's adventures.

Lets are usually from Saturday to Saturday but we accommodate other start dates and short breaks of a minimum of two nights, whenever we can.

Wauchope Cottages are a small group of four detached, single storey timber clad holiday cottages set in the Scottish Borders on the edge of Wauchope Forest. The village of Bonchester Bridge is 2 miles from the cottages and Hawick and Jedburgh are approximately 8 miles from Bonchester Bridge.

The cottages have separate kitchen which is fully equipped for four people and includes an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a microwave. Each cottage has one double and one twin bedroom.

The cottages all have fully enclosed rear gardens and ample parking spaces. All the cottages except Hill View have a small kennel and run. Dogs are most welcome and permitted in the cottages. Other pets by arrangement. As well as the enclosed rear gardens there is a large lawned area in front of the cottages for your use. Ideal for playing badminton, football, training your dogs, etc.

The village has a very friendly Public House, the Horse and Hound, and a part time Post Office.

Whilst we do not operate a no smoking policy we would be very grateful if you could give consideration to the people coming into the cottage after you - it would be greatly appreciated if you could smoke outside the cottage.
