Eva's Cottage is so close to the sea that, when the waves are angry, the spray kisses the windows. But don't worry. You'll be nice and warm beside the open fire.

The cottage has one single bedroom, a twin and a double. It is not suitable for people with mobility problems as the bathroom is up some rather steep stairs. The sea is almost right outside the door so young children might require supervision.

The cottage has electric radiators in every room and a lovely open fire (coal supplied) in the sitting room. There's a TV/ DVD. Towels and linen are supplied and there is a washing machine.

Gardenstown is the perfect place to relax. You can't even get a mobile phone signal unless you climb to the top of the cliffs and it's ten miles to the nearest Tesco.

Our family connection with the village goes back 250 years, to when the cottage was first built. Then it was home to hard-working fishermen, now it's a comfortable Highland retreat, with modern accommodation for up to five people.

Mitchell's Cottage is located in the pretty seaside village of Gardenstown close to the beach, harbour and pub. The cottage has just been refurbished and modernised to be a welcoming home-from-home.

Mitchell's holiday cottage has the traditional charm of an 19th century fisherman's cottage with an open fire in the living room, together with a high standard of accommodation for 5 to 6 people in three bedrooms.

The cottage boasts a newly renovated kitchen with all new appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and Cannon cooker) which are all A-rated, and a new tumble drier. The cottage also has a new luxury modern bathroom including a P-shaped shower bath, and there is a separate shower room on the ground floor. There is another fold-out bed in the single room so an extra person could be accommodated.

Mitchell's holiday cottage is in a quiet location and has sea views from two of the bedrooms. The village nestles below red sandstone cliffs and has a cosy and romantic, but yet family feel to it.

Seilie Cottage is located in the picturesque seaside village of Gardenstown.

The cottage was originally two cottages and was converted into one. One cottage was very small, and only consisted of the ground floor which is now the lounge and toilet. The second cottage was the first and second floors which now comprises the kitchen, the dining/sitting room, 2 bedrooms, and the full bath.

We have strived to tastefully decorate Seilie Cottage to a superior quality, and have been awarded a 4-star rating with Visit Scotland. We have been busy making improvements which include a newly refitted bathroom, reopening the fireplace in the lounge, and building a stone patio in the back garden.

The cottage can sleep 4 people comfortably in the 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms comprise a king bedroom, and a double bedroom. There is also a double futon in the lounge.

A short walking distance from the cottage is a pub, a butcher, a baker, and a small gallery.

In the cottage there will be a notebook which will include information about the local area, including places not to miss, wonderful walks, castles to explore, golf courses to master... too much to name them all!

Two delightful, 250 year old traditional fisherman's cottages. Perched on the sea wall at the base of towering red sandstone cliffs.

The picturesque village of Gardenstown is situated on the unique and rugged Moray coastline. If this is an area you are unfamiliar with, then prepare to have your breath taken away. If it is a holiday of true old fashioned simplicity, with scenery of breathtaking beauty you are looking for, then search no further.

Both cottages occupy one of the most idyllic spots in the bay. Close to the lovely beach and rockpools and a short stroll to the pretty harbour, still used by local fishermen. The village has a bakery, butchers, post office, local inn and cafes/restaurant.

From both cottages, spectacular views can be enjoyed out over the bay, giving you the opportunity to spot dolphins, bird life and watch local fishing boats, all from the comfort of your fireside window seat. Eva's cottage has a small outside seating area. Alberts cottage has a patio allowing you to enjoy seaside BBQs or a glass of wine on an evening.

These enchanting cottages ooze history and character. Comfortably furnished and tastefully modernised to meet all holiday requirements for both families and couples. Please note due to close proximity of sea wall and small access road, youngsters to be supervised at all times.

Do try and come out of peak season. Days can be crisp and golden, as fine as any in midsummer. We hate to see our bay deserted in autumn and winter so come an enjoy it with us. Short breaks can be arranged.

A visit to unspoilt Gardenstown is like taking a step back in time. It is no surprise that visitors who know and love Gamrie Bay return year after year.

Gannet Cottage is an original Fisherman's nineteenth century cottage built in a unique position on the seafront in Gardenstown. From the gable of the house to the sea at high tide is approx 10 feet. The cottage provides the perfect retreat for anyone looking for an escape from day to day life. The noise of traffic is replaced by the sound of waves crashing against the sea wall.

Gannet cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, as well as a sitting room, bathroom and an eating kitchen. Maximum occupancy is for four adults. A travelling cot can also be made available for a small child on request.

From the property you can look across the beach to More Head in the distance and high on the hill the ancient cemetery of St Johns.

Unlike many buildings which are modernised and can lose their charm, we have tried to keep the cottage in as original a state as possible. The doors have low headroom, a steep stairs leads to the bedrooms upstairs, with the main bedroom off the stairs, and there are no modern fitted kitchen units. With a cosy coal fire burning, you could be forgiven for forgetting what decade you are in.

Gardenstown can be found clinging to the terraced ledges that descend the steep south-east side of Gamrie Bay, and is the largest of the three villages situated along this north facing Aberdeenshire coast, the other being Crovie and Pennan. There is a butcher, baker, hotel, restaurant, post office etc all in the village.
