The Old Church is a wonderful house bursting with character. Many of the walls have oak panelling, there is a magnificent picture window in the lounge overlooking the bay and a beautiful oak staircase. It is situated in the pretty village of Ardvasar on the Sleat Peninsula only a mile from the ferry terminal at Armadale. There is an excellent hotel within easy walking distance which has a restaurant and also serves bar meals. There is also a local shop which is very well stocked.
The main lounge has a beautiful view overlooking the bay where there is a wealth of wildlife to watch. It is very well equipped with widescreen TV, Sky TV, a DVD recorder/player and a stereo system. There is also a lovely dining room with some stained glass windows. In addition there is a kitchen/family room with another table for those who prefer to dine informally. There is also a further small sofa and chair for the comfort of those helping prepare meals!! There is an impressive wood burning stove which gives a lovely cosy feel to the room. All modern kitchen appliances are provided, e.g. cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. There are also many other cooking aids such as a food processor, mixer, coffee machine etc.
The house has four bedrooms, upstairs there is a king sized room and two further bedrooms which can be used as either twin or double rooms. Downstairs there is another bedroom with bunk beds and there is also a double sofa bed in the dining room which is exceptionally comfortable. There is a bathroom upstairs with a fabulous shower and a further bathroom downstairs with a bath.
We have also provided a travel cot and high chair for those with babies. There are also two stair gates which can be used for your peace of mind.
All heating, lighting and fuel costs are included in the tariffs shown. Bedding, towels and tea towels are all provided (with the exception of bedding for the cot). We will also ensure that tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided on arrival to help you recover from your journey! Small welcome gifts of local produce will also await your arrival.
Please feel free to bring your dogs, hamsters, budgies etc!

Cnoc an Theine is a three bedroomed self-catering cottage situated on the beautiful and romantic Isle of Skye with spectacular views over the Sound of Sleat to Morar, Ardnamurchan, and the Hebridean islands of Rhum, Eigg and Muck.
This 3-bedroomed cottage has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom and is equipped to the highest standards with all new furniture and fittings. The cottage has oiled fired central heating throughout and has the added extra of a wood burning stove. All doors, electrical switches and shower room are disabled friendly. The ground floor has wooden floors, except for the kitchen, bathroom and porch which have tiled flooring.
Spacious living room with two comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, television, DVD/video, CD player, log burning stove. There is also a selection of videos, DVD & CDs for your use.
Great care has been taken over the design of Cnoc an Theine to take full advantage of the uninterrupted views from every angle of the cottage. Careful consideration has been given to the disabled and provision made for access and toilet facilities.

Nestled in the hillside of Ardvasar, Homeleigh is a modern detached house. With three star accreditation Homeleigh provides you with all the comforts you need for a truly memorable stay. Located in the south of the island of Skye, we have panoramic views across the Sound of Sleat to Mallaig, Loch Nevis and the Knoydart Peninsula.
The bedrooms, one double and two twin, all have sea views. They are en-suite and include hospitality tray, hair dryer and satellite TV, as well as many other details to make you feel at home.
The conservatory (the guests' breakfast room) provides stunning scenery whilst you dine on a Full Scottish, or for the health conscious amongst you, a Continental breakfast.
All rooms are non-smoking and there is a downstairs bedroom available.
Homeleigh is within one mile of the Mallaig-Armadale ferry terminal. Close by are craft shops, a gallery, hotel restaurant, cafe, boutique, Post Office, filling station and foodstore, and of course, the Clan Donald Centre and Museum at Armadale.

This romantic Isle of Skye hideaway, set in 2 acres of grounds, has magnificent views over the Sound of Sleet and glorious sunsets are a frequent bonus. In addition, its proximity to the Skye Bridge and Armadale Ferry port means that seclusion need not mean remoteness from the mainland.
There?s plenty to explore on the island and in summer guests can take a trip on the exclusive hotel yacht - Solus na Mara - personally crewed by the owners. Daily sailing excursions from May to September include lunch onboard and the chance to go Whale and Dolphin spotting or Island hopping.
The bedrooms at the hotel are individually decorated with beautiful fabrics and wall coverings and have either brass or sleigh beds made up with crisp linens. Each room has ensuite bathrooms with power shower, some also have bathtub, and all come supplied with luxurious Arran Aromatic toiletries.
The chef uses only the finest and freshest local ingredients to create the fabulous, four course, and fine dining menus with imaginative dishes that have earned Toravaig House its coveted 2 AA Rosettes. The Skye Seafood and Highland Lamb, beef and game are succulent and organic vegetables are prepared to perfection. With stunning views over the sound of Sleat and mainland mountains beyond, Duisdale House Hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the romantic Isle of Skye. Built as a hunting lodge for the Clan Macdonald family in the 1860s, Duisdale sits in its own grounds of 30 acres which include lush, sleepy gardens and extensive ancient woodlands. Our house is in the village of Ardvasar at the South end of the Sleat Penninsula. Handy for the Armadale-Mallaig ferry and a good base from which to explore Skye.
Our main aim is to create a pleasant, welcoming environment for our visitors. The rooms are fresh and clean with the emphasis is on peace and quiet. Leave the stress and hassle behind.
Crisp white sheets and comfortable beds, fresh towels and hot showers. Each room has a hospitality tray, books, magazines and tourist information.
There are two rooms, one double and one twin and both have en-suite shower rooms. They are adjacent so ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together. Both rooms are on the ground floor, as is the breakfast room.

The cottage is outstandingly sited commanding spectacular views across the Sound of Sleat to the hills of Knoydart on the mainland and to Mallaig from where the ferry sails to nearby Armadale and to the Small Isles.
The bungalow has a fully fitted spacious kitchen/dining area with electric oven/hob, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer and ironing facilities. The lounge has an electric fire, three piece suite, colour television, video recorder, mini hi-fi, occasional tables and a pay phone.
The smaller bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobe and drawer unit. The larger bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, fitted wardrobe and a dressing table. The bathroom has a w.c, wash hand basin, electric shaver power point, fan heater and an instant electric shower cubicle.
All rooms have been furnished to a high standard and are tastefully decorated. The bungalow is double glazed and is all electric with panel heaters in the bedrooms and kitchen.
The bed linen, towels, tea towels and tablecloths are all included. Electricity is charged per unit used during your stay.

Good eating places in the area include hotels, restaurants, and take-away outlets offering local sea foods. There are village stores, post offices, craft shops, petrol and garage facilities and taxi services in the area.
