Bae Seren is a new property with superb Cape Wrath and sea views from both bedrooms. The bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and tea/coffee making facilities in to make your stay as comfortable and 'home from home' as possible.

A warm welcome awaits you at Aiden House. This is a new property completed in 2010 situated on the family croft in the village of Durness with stunning views.
Each room is individuality designed for visitors' comfort and to make your holiday experience one to remember. Each room is equipped with:

Durness is 100 miles west of John O'Groats 16 kilometres east of Cape Wrath on the north coast and is the most north-westerly inhabited locality on mainland Britain. The village of Durness serves a large area of scattered townships and farms and is a major tourist destination in the far north of Scotland with an abundance of scenic, wildlife and cultural attractions.
This corner of the Scottish Highlands is accessible on single track road, and the A838 winds its way around the area. To arrive at Durness the traveller must pass through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world and the locality offers a superb range of pursuits.
Private parking with disabled access. No pets but guide dogs are welcome.

Recently renovated but retaining its original character, the cottage is compact, well maintained and comfortably furnished. Located only 7 miles from the small crofting village of Durness, this unspoilt corner of Scotland offers a wide range of activities.
Bedrooms: the two bedrooms have 2 single beds each, bedside tables, storage space and great views out across river valley. There are electric blankets on all the beds! Hanging space in rooms. Over 200 books to read in the rooms!
Bathroom: with newly fitted power shower, great pressure, WC, basin, dual voltage shaver socket. Window. Underfloor heating. Heated towelrail.
Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment), kettle, toaster, utensils, scales and cookery books. Window to rear of property. Huge picture window looking up the glen. Kitchen table. Seats 8.Underfloor heating.
Utility Room: with large freezer, 2 washing machines, tumble dryer, storage space for wellies and coats. Another downstairs room off this. Can be used as a bedroom (double sofabed). Access to outside deck. Milkhouse useful for wet coats/dogs. Sink .
Living Room: with log/coal burning fire (wood not provided, can buy locally, sofa bed, 2 big comfortable chairs, TV satellite, DVD, video, large selection of books, games and films. Great views out of front of house.
Other: dining room/living room with working Rayburn range that burns anything. Heats water so immersion can be turned off if Rayburn working. Table. Three large comfortable chairs, locked cupboard (also Gun Cabinet) assortment of books, phone. Large map of the area.
Facilities: towels and linen included. If staying more than 2 weeks we clean the apartment and change towels and linen halfway through the stay, or every 2 weeks. Thoroughly cleaned between lets but guests are requested to leave the cottage clean & tidy on departure.
The house is not centrally heated. It has a number of electric oil radiators and fan heaters, which easily provide enough heat. However there is also considerable warmth generated by the rayburn and log burning stove in the two downstairs rooms if guests want to light them.
Dogs accepted on ground floor only - maximum of 2 dogs. The house is non-smoking.

Set in the romantic rolling green parks of Eriboll Estates in-bye farmland, Posties Bothy is a traditional workers cottage dating back to the 1800s. It started life however as its name suggests as the local Post Office and until recently the Royal Mail Post Bus would, if asked convey you from Lairg to Posties on its daily 110 mile post run.
Recently refurbished, it sleeps four in its two bedrooms which have stunning views of the spectacular hills and the grazing North Country Cheviot flock.
It is a mere 5 minute stroll to our rocky shore or 30 minutes by car to the spectacular sandy beaches and dunes at Cannaebean and Balnakiel in Durness or Melness near Tongue. Fishing in the hill lochs, salmon fishing (booking necessary) and deer stalking are all on offer with this cottage – please contact us for prices and availability.
Appreciation of the nature of the area comes free as does local knowledge. Internet and Freeview are provided but phones are limited to mobiles operating on the O2 network. The nature and age of this cottage does not allow easy access for wheelchairs. We operate a no smoking policy in all our cottages. Pets are allowed but they must be kept well under supervision as this is a working estate.

Welcome to Keoldale bed and breakfast situated on the shores of the Kyle of Durness in the Scottish Highlands. In this magnificent setting of sea and mountains is a remote tranquility. The family cottage is set on Keoldale Farm a working hill farm of 4000 sheep.
Keoldale is a family run Bed and Breakfast. It provides comfortable accommodation in an informal friendly atmosphere. We have two guest bedrooms: the Blue Room overlooking the Kyle of Durness and the Red Room. Both have television, central heating, tea and coffee facilities.
We can accommodate dogs by arrangement and there are special rates for children who are very welcome.
