1 Ford View is perfectly positioned on Roughfirth at Kippford, a private road running from the village centre right along the waterside of the Urr estuary, with a south westerly aspect to catch the sunshine and evening sunsets.
There are idyllic coastal and forest walks which you can join immediately from the front door, in fact Roughfirth joins with the Jubilee path for a gentle walk to the neighbouring village of Rockcliffe and on further round the Colvend Coast.
The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in three bedrooms, one double and two singles. It is arranged over two floors with the sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and one single bedroom being on the ground floor, the other two bedrooms being upstairs.
Behind the house is a lovely terraced and enclosed garden, with steps leading up to an upper lawn and deck area from where there is a lovely views out over the houses up and down the estuary.
There is a garage for the safe storage of bikes, and a hose available for washing them down after a hard days biking on the 7stanes trails.
The house is fully equipped all the usual appliances, and is heated throughout by oil-fired central heating which is included in the price. One dog is accepted at this house at a charge of £15/week.

Rosemount is situated in the picturesque sailing village of Kippford in South-West Scotland. Our water-front position provides stunning views across the Urr Estuary onto the hills of Bengairn and Screel.
New for 2009, we have a fully-refurbished deluxe double suite comprising of 2 interconnecting rooms with a bedroom with superking bed and a lounge area with stunning coastal views and en-suite facilities. To add to the luxury, for that all-important rest and relaxation time, the suite's lounge has leather recliner chairs along with a large flat screen HD TV with 'freesat' channels.
In addition we also offer a twin bedded en-suite room with superb views over the water, and a further double bedroom which has a refurbished separate private luxury bathroom.
For those with young children (under 14 years of age) our family room is located in our garden annexe and comprises of a double and bunk beds. It has an en-suite shower room, TV & DVD and benefits from it's own private access and has a partial view across the water. This room is also available as a double or twin for two persons.
All bedrooms have TV's with 'FreeSat' channels, tea and coffee making facilities and a comprehensive tourist information pack.
The conservatory at the front of the house, is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink and take in the wonderful views, the feeding herons and beautiful sunsets.

Colvend is an attractive village some 6 miles south of Dalbeattie and 20 miles from the historic town of Dumfries. Springfield is located on the main coast road (A710) just under 1/2 mile east of Colvend village (towards Dumfries).
Ideally located for touring the area, walking, cycling, golf (Colvend GC - half mile), birdwatching and beach (Sandyhills - three quarters mile)
There are several good places to eat locally which are open throughout the year.
