Set in the tranquil village of St Fillans - in the heart of rural Perthshire – Achray House has spectacular views over Loch Earn to the hills beyond. Within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Trossachs and the Southern Highlands of Scotland.
The Achray House Hotel has eight bedrooms. Seven of the rooms are south facing, with views of Loch Earn or mountains beyond, and all are en suite with a bath and shower.
All rooms have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, a flatscreen colour television, radio with alarm, direct dial telephone and a hairdryer. The hotel has free WiFi access for all guests. There is limited mobile telephone reception in the hotel and lodges, and most mobile networks are inaccessible.
The bedrooms are arranged over three floors, with the hotel entrance and all public areas on the middle floor.
Dinner at Achray House is one of the highlights of the day. Enjoy fine food using the best local seasonal ingredients whilst you look out over the loch, followed perhaps by a glass of malt whisky from our extensive collection as you relax in front of the log fire.

St Fillans sits within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park at the eastern end of Loch Earn. This is Scotland at its most beautiful. Fortrenn occupies a spectacular viewpoint perched above the loch.

Accommodation:-
Lounge: elegant comfort with its large arched window giving panoramic views over the loch. The open hearth fire makes it a room to enjoy during all seasons. Observe the continuously changing colours of the loch with its backdrop of hills.
Dining Room: the round table seats eight with ease. Another open fire for the winter, and access onto the balcony in the summer.
Kitchen: electric cooker can be complemented by the Aga. Fully equipped with fridge and freezer adjoining, and external door to dog-secure yard area with external stairway to front garden below.
Four-poster bedroom with dressing room and bathroom: the lower floor has a master suite. The bedroom looks over the front garden to the loch. The dressing room has generous fitted wardrobes and a well-lit dressing table. In the bathroom there is not only an antique roll-over bath but also a large shower. There is a door into the garden from here.
Double Room: on the upper floor, and originally the main bedroom, with a loch view comparable with the lounge, this room combines elegance with surprise! There is an en-suite shower - but you will have to find it.
Twin and Single Rooms: sharing a family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Pets Welcome: If your pets are important members of your family don't leave them behind. With a fenced dog run at the back door and a secure front garden, Fortrenn is perfect for dogs in particular. There are some of Perthshire's best walks on your doorstep.
Take the binoculars and just sit on the verandah to get a closer look at the osprey diving, or take the steps down to the garden and garden house. A pathway leads to the lochside. Access your own foreshore and observe the continuously changing colours on the loch. Or on the lower garden level relax in total privacy, or rustle up a BBQ on the terrace. Just in case the rain should come on we have provided oodles of books to curl up with escape and totally into the privacy of the book lined summer house.

Mountain Biking amidst stunning scenery, Walking in the Glentarken Woods, or on the meandering Riverside paths, even climbing the nearby Munro. Playing Games - petanque, croquet, Jenga, darts, pool or indoor bowls.
We have a slipway and jetties, and a sheltered harbour from which boat trips can be taken. Caledonian Seaplanes base their activities at the Hotel and the plane is often to be seen in the harbour. We can help you arrange pony trekking, quad biking, white water rafting, watersports on the Loch, visits to the oldest distillery in Scotland or even a Highland Safari.

A Riverside Log Cabin sits on the bank of the River Earn, and has its own riverview and frontage, a mile from Loch Earn in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Each riverside log cabin sleeps up to six plus baby.
The cottages are fully equipped for up to 6 people, with heating in all rooms. A colour television, video player, radio and CD player, together with soft furnishing make the sitting room very comfortable. We have recently installed satellite TV in each log cabin.
Each holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms - a double, a twin and a bunk room with full length bunks. All have storage for your clothes etc. Bed linen and duvets are provided and beds are made up, ready for your arrival.
