Situated in beautiful Perthshire countryside overlooking Loch Marlee, this friendly accommodation is conveniently located in the middle of Tayside approximately three miles from Blairgowrie, close to the river Tay. Uninterrupted views of the Grampian Mountains and the Sidlaw Hills can be enjoyed from the large secluded garden.
Both rooms are en suite. The double room has a king size bed and looks out onto the garden, fields and Loch Marlee. The twin room has two comfortable single beds and is a sunny room, looking out onto the colourful front garden. Both rooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV, radio, hair dryer, alarm clock and home-made shortbread biscuits.
Large bath sheets are provided for the use of guests which will wrap round anybody - not like most bed and breakfast accommodation, where the largest towel will not meet around one's waist! Laundry, drying and ironing facilities are also available. Both rooms have comprehensive leaflets detailing local attractions and visitor information. Breakfast and dinner are served in the spacious dining room.
The entire property is on one floor. A portable ramp is available to the front door and the corridors and doorways give ample room for wheelchair access. The twin room has room for a wheelchair and can be provided with a raised toilet seat and raised bed. It also has grab rails in the shower and beside the toilet.
If booked in advance, a two or three course dinner can be provided - bring your own wine. There are also many excellent restaurants in the area.
There is a 10% discount for a stay of three nights or more.
Conversational French and German spoken here.

We look forward to welcoming you to Glenshieling Lodge; whether this is your first stay with us or a return visit. Whatever your reason for visiting we want you to feel relaxed and at home whilst you are here and if there is anything that we can do to make your stay more enjoyable please let us know.
The Victorian Lodge sits just down the driveway from Glenshieling House and has its own private parking space. It has gas central heating and comfortably sleeps five and, for the comfort of all our visitors, it is a non-smoking property.
Upstairs is the family bedroom, a twin-bedded room and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have a colour TV in them. Downstairs is the sitting-room, kitchen/diner and a shower room with WC.
In the cosy sitting-room you will find an information folder which you can use to help you get the most out of your stay in the area. This room has a TV, DVD and video machines, CD player with radio, some books and some games.
The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with washing-machine, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and electric cooker. A welcome pack of a few basic groceries is provided.
The spacious twin bedroom offers views over the Lodge garden and the Strathmore Valley beyond. The family room has a double and one single bed and looks out on to the woodland which houses a number of non-paying guests; e.g. our resident red squirrels!
Your heating, lighting and linen are all included in the price and we can provide a travel cot and high chair if you should need them.
To the front of the property is a patio seating area with table and chairs - ideal for alfresco dining - and at the back is a lovely south-facing garden. If you need help deciding where to go locally for a meal, feel free to ask one of us. We will do our best to advise you and are more than happy to make a table reservation for you.
In Blairgowrie you will find all of the essential shops including a choice of supermarkets, tea rooms, restaurants, outdoor clothing outlets and even places to hire a kilt! The town lies on the River Ericht in the beautiful southern Highlands of Perthshire – the heart of Scotland. It is an ideal base from which to explore a wealth of interesting places, including castles, palaces and Royal Deeside. The area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and those interested in golfing, fishing (rivers Ericht & Isla), shooting and winter skiing (Glenshee). You are not far from the shops in Perth and Dundee, or the House of Bruar and the area also offers some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable.

We offer an assortment of self-catering accommodation, all year round on a small family run site , in beautiful rural settings with open views to the hills. One mile from the town of Blairgowrie, it is both peaceful but within easy reach of all amenities.
MARIGOLD COTTAGE: has exposed stone walls and log burning stove, it is cosy, comfortable with lots of character. Sleeping 3- 5 people, it has one large family bedroom - one double bed and one single bed (there is room for an additional single put-u-up or travel cot), a further double sofa bed in the living room gives plenty of room for the extended family. All bed linen is provided.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, full cooker/oven and all cooking utensils, along with a dining table and chairs. The cosy living room has a log burning stove, and plenty of seating. Also a TV.
WOODPECKER LODGE: a comfortable wooden lodge with and open plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with full oven and cooker, microwave and fridge along with all cooking utensils. A spacious living room follows this, complete with sofa, armchairs and TV. French doors lead onto a covered raised deck with a beautiful outlook.
Woodpecker lodge sleeps four people, with one double bedroom and a further sofa bed in the living area. All bed linen is included.
MAPLE LODGE: a pretty lodge in a private position by the orchard. Open plan kitchen/dining/living area which has patio doors leading onto a south facing covered veranda. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven/cooker, microwave and fridge with all cooking utensils.
Maple lodge has one bedroom with one single and one double bed, a further sofa bed is situated in the living room. All bed linen is included.

The Old Cross Inn & Restaurant is a family-owned business run by husband and wife team, Claire and Liam Leask along with their friendly team of staff.
The inn is in a Victorian-built sandstone building in the heart of Perthshire, amidst some glorious Scottish scenery and within striking distance of a host of tourist attractions and leisure activities.
All our rooms were fully refurbished in 2009 and are ensuite with digital TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. The three rooms at the front of the building have beautiful views across to the Sidlaw Hills.
As well as the comfortable lounge bar and award-winning restaurant, we also have a large outside area to the rear where customers may choose to dine and relax on a warm day.
