Ballagan Farm Cottages is a family run bed and breakfast situated on the outskirts of Balloch, on Loch Lomond and within the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, making this an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and tourist attractions in Loch Lomond.

The private picturesque courtyard comprises three independent entrance cottages with en-suite modern rooms - all centrally heated for your comfort and appropriately named : Black Watch, Ballagan and Royal Stewart - each cottage is equipped with double bed, ample storage facilities for your personal items, small fridge, plasma TV with built-in DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and host their own decking area to relax and enjoy the crisp Autumn mornings or warm Summer nights during your stay with us. Two of the cottages boast a modern shower cubicle which can be used as steam rooms with built in radios and mood lighting. Complimentary toiletries, hairdryers and fresh towels are supplied for guest convenience.
Blackwatch is a very spacious room with double bed and a traditional Blackwatch tartan carpet. This room could sleep up to three people if required with enough space for a z-bed to be placed. The bathroom for this room is fully tiled with a state of the art shower cubicle with built in radio. This shower cubicle can be used as a steam room and helps relax. There is also a WC, wash basin with mounted mirror and heated towel radiator.
In the room itself there are added luxuries which include a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a TV with built-in DVD player, rocking chair, wardrobe and dresser.
Our Royal Stewart room includes a King size bed and is very spacious - sleeping up to three people. Decorated perfectly, this room has Royal Stewart tartan carpet. Again in this room we have a TV with built-in DVD player, wardrobe, dresser, tea and coffee making facilities and small fridge. We are very proud of this room because we feel the furniture is authentic and complements what we are trying to achieve.
The bathroom for this room is fully tiled with a state of the art shower cubicle with built in radio. This shower cubicle can be used as a steam room and helps relax your stresses away. There is also a WC, wash basin with mounted mirror and heated towel radiator.
Ballagan is a small cottage style room. It sleeps up to three people with a King size bed. This is our only room that has its very own kitchen with all the amenities, including fridge, cooking facilities, dining table and fitted cupboards. Again this room has a TV with built-in DVD player and wardrobe and small sofa.
The bathroom in this room is fully tiled with bath and electric shower. It has a WC and wash basin with mounted mirror on the wall.
Each of our rooms is situated in our courtyard and you do not need to walk through the main house at any point. This is also the case with the breakfast eating area which has already attracted many compliments together with the rooms. With each of the rooms being in the courtyard we have been able to build decking outside each room to give our guests a perfect area for seating and relaxation.
Ballagan Farm Cottages and its Proprietor Sandra Gallacher have an excellent reputation for its warm and friendly atmosphere and traditional cooked Scottish breakfast or Continental breakfast offered - hence you will find the guest books are very often returning guest to the bed and breakfast.

Station Cottages are Victorian railway cottages, built circa 1850, which have been tastefully restored, to provide a wonderful family run bed and breakfast, positioned within Scotland's first National Park.
Splendid, unique picturesque views of the west riverside are enjoyed from the bedrooms and lounge/dining room. A short 3 minute walk out of the patio doors, along the riverside pathway, takes you straight onto the romantic breathtaking shores of Loch Lomond.
Our cottages are conveniently situated in the very heart of Balloch village from where there are beautiful scenic views of Loch Lomond, the river Leven and the surrounding hills, the largest being Ben Lomond. The nearby pleasure cruises, which leave from Balloch bridge, sail up the loch to Luss village and pass close to Inchmurrin island.
Station Cottages Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring and sightseeing or just, unwinding and relaxing. Conveniently positioned at the main gateway to the highlands and islands there is for your enjoyment. Golfing, walking, cycling, fishing, watersports, sailing, boat hire, shopping, transport, cash point and tourist information are all within easy reach. Horse riding and pony trekking can be found just outside Balloch.
There are also 10 different restaurants/hotels within an easy few minutes walking distance.
Off road parking is provided, so you can easily park your car for the night and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the nearby hotels, bars and restaurants. Alternatively, if travelling on business to the West of Scotland, Station Cottages is only 25 minutes by car from Glasgow city centre, or 20 minutes by car from Glasgow airport.

Here at the Glenfern, we pride ourselves on offering you first class accommodation in a comfortable and friendly, family environment. Each of our rooms are tastefully decorated and provide excellent comfort and a great place to get a good nights sleep after your days activities. All rooms are en suite and boast many other additional facilities including television, radio, hostess tray, a selection of the finest toiletries and a hairdryer. Unrestricted 24 hour car parking and access is available to all guests.
On the ground floor we have a bright and fresh twin room, and we also have a double room which has a four poster bed – ideal for the romantics among you. Upstairs we have another twin room and also a double room .
We also offer a full range of breakfasts from continental through to a full Scottish breakfast including traditional Scottish haggis. Our breakfasts are cooked using only fresh produce to ensure a satisfying breakfast to kick start your day. There are various local amenities just a short (2 minute) walk from the Guest House. The Guest House itself, is situated at the beginning of Loch Lomond and boasts, amongst other things, easy access to local transport. The area has so much to offer including Scotland's first National Park - The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Within Balloch and the surrounding areas of Gartocharn, Drymen and Luss there is a large variety of restaurants and pubs to suit every occasion and budget. In addition, there are lots of heritage trails and other points of interest along the Scottish Tourist routes that are provided by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Auchenheglish Lodges comprises of two luxury waterfront lodges Jetty Lodge and Cundy Lodge. Each lodge has private gardens and unrestricted views over the water to Ben Lomond and the mountains beyond. An idyllic, tranquil setting to relax in with your own waterside patio and barbecue together with a private jetty and moorings for the use of lodge guests. Both lodges are pet and smoke free.
Jetty Lodge accommodates 4/6 people, it has two double en-suit bedrooms, lounge, dinning area, and fully fitted kitchen, on the lower level. An open plan staircase leads to the upper level, which has a second lounge with French doors opening on to a large balcony with patio furniture. The second bedroom is also located on this level and there is a sofabed for an occasional guest. All lounges and bedrooms have loch views and are equipped with satellite television. There is a telephone/fax (charged according to use) and the tariff is inclusive of full central heating and gas cooking.
Cundy Lodge accommodates 2 people, it has one double en-suit bedroom, open plan lounge with sofa bed and fully fitted kitchen. French doors lead to a waterside patio and private garden with barbecue area complete with patio furniture. The Old Smiddy Apartment is located within Loch Lomond National Park and offers peace and relaxation.
The apartment is nearly all on one level, there is a sitting room with Lindsay tartan carpet, LCD TV, DVD, video, CD player, books etc. There is one double-ensuite, one single bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and separate toilet/shower room, sleeps three people.
The original Old Smiddy was built in 1862 and the newly refurbished Old Smiddy Apartment forms part of the original blacksmith's house and has many features till this day. Ballagan burn runs through garden with feature patio for guests.

Our 4 star bed and breakfast accommodation is within a newly built extension to the farmhouse. This extension is self-contained which allows guests the freedom to come and go as they please. One twin room and one double bedroom are available. Both the twin room and the double room are fully en-suite and have french windows leading to a private patio and garden.
There are tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarms, colour televisions and hairdryers in each room. The breakfast menu offers a choice of breakfasts and a buffet of cereals, yoghurts, fruit juices etc.
An evening meal is available by arrangement.We have recently been inspected by the Scottish Tourist Board and have been awarded a grading of 4 Stars for Bed and Breakfast.

All of our guestrooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped with TV and DVD players provided free of charge. We have an extensive collection of DVDs available to choose from should you wish to spend a relaxing evening.
We have king size, double and twin beds available and also included in each room are tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers. All rooms are centrally heated and are non smoking.
Tigh-na-Roune bedrooms are situated on the first floor and each has an Information folder provided for your assistance, including sample menus from local restaurants.
The dining room is situated on the ground floor overlooking green fields. Breakfasts are normally served between 8am and 9am but can be accommodated earlier if required. Our favorite traditional menu consists of porridge or cereal and fresh fruit to begin, followed by sausages, lean bacon, fresh egg, grilled tomato and mushrooms including freshly brewed coffee and tea with lashings of hot toast, butter and marmalade. Continental and vegetarian breakfasts are also available.

Accommodation:
The cottage comprises a spacious lounge, a kitchen / dining room, a double bedroom and bathroom downstairs, and a twin room upstairs where a cot can also be added if required. All bed linen and duvets are supplied but please bring your own towels. Heating is provided by electric storage heaters in each room and from the open fire in the sitting room.
Please note that the cottage is Non Smoking and we regret that pets are not permitted.
The cottage is generally let on a weekly basis starting on a Saturday. However during the spring and autumn period we are happy to let it either for a long weekend or mid week break - so do please contact us to check availability.

Beautiful cottage built over Ballagan burn which runs down to meet the waters of Loch Lomond. Minutes walk to Loch Lomond and all it has to offer. The cottage is all on one level and is heated throughout by gas central heating. Also newly refurbished Apartment, sleeps 3, one double -ensuite and one single bedroom.
KITCHEN:- the well equipped kitchen includes

SITTING ROOM:- this comfortable room has:

BEDROOMS:- all beds will be made up with fresh sheets and towels will be supplied. There are two en-suite bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 is a double-bedded room with fitted mirror, wardrobes containing ample storage space, clock radio, television, there is an electric blanket on the bed and there is a shower/toilet with shaver point within the bedroom. Also contains a sofa bed which is suitable for one adult or two children to sleep on. Cot available if required.
Bedroom 2 is a twin-bedded room (two single beds); both fitted with electric blankets. Also includes clock radio and television. There is a toilet/shower and shaver within the bedroom.
The tariffs are per week, Saturday to Saturday and includes heating, towels and bed linen. Electricity is included. No smoking is permitted and we cannot accept pets. Paypal accepted.
