Blairbeth is situated in the quiet village of Auchencairn, approximately 20 miles from Dumfries & 70 miles from Glasgow. It is an end terraced 18th Century Cottage.
The cottage is housed on two levels, with both bedrooms on the upper level. The bathroom is on the ground floor.
The accommodation comprises:
Lounge: the lounge is comfortably furnished with occasional chairs and a bedsettee. There is a hi-fi system, radio & television within the lounge area. There is also a large wood burning stove.
Pantry: (off the lounge) houses fridge/freezer; crockery
Kitchenette: electric hob & oven, microwave, automatic washing machine
Sun Porch: dining table & chairs

The self catering accommodation was converted in 2002 from traditional stone built stables in the seaside village of Auchencairn, south west Scotland. There is a double room and twin room, accommodating up to 4 persons.
The cottage is located in the large, private garden of The Rossan, a former manse at the edge of the village. The mature shrubs and trees give the cottage the luxury of privacy while being only two minutes walk from the village facilities, which include a pub, a post office/shop, a garage for repairs, church and village hall.
The area is a relatively unknown part of Scotland, with magnificent scenery, a long and varied coastline, sandy beaches, small fishing towns and villages.
Auchencairn village itself is located amongst picturesque wooded farmland with the backdrop of the heather topped hills of Screel and Bengairn, and overlooks the Solway Firth and Hestan Island. The bay is a paradise for bird watchers with sea birds nesting on the cliffs two miles down the road. Walkers can climb Bengairn or Screel for spectacular views or take one of a variety of coastal, cliff or rural paths to take advantage of the varied scenery.
For cyclists there is a secure lock up shed for storage.
