Out and About: |
|
|
The rich history of the region is embedded in the familiar place names such as Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Killiekrankie, Aberfeldy, Scone, Crieff and of course, Perth itself. The Stone of Destiny - symbol of the nation - has been returned to its rightful home in Scone Palace, where Robert the Bruce was crowned King of Scots. The landscape is as rich and varied as the history. Fertile farmland in the south and east gives way to rivers, lochs, glens and mountains of the Grampians and westwards to the wild and bleak Rannoch Moor. If your interests include the outdoors, then there's sure to be something here for you.
